ROBERT W. BOHLANDER, PhD, BCN
Dr. Bohlander is a Pennsylvania-licensed Psychologist with over 30 years of experience in the mental health field. He is a member of the American Psychological Association, the Eastern Psychological Association, and the Pennsylvania Psychological Association, where he serves on the Ethics Committee.
A magna cum laude graduate of Lebanon Valley College of Pennsylvania, he completed his Master’s and Doctoral degrees at the University of Rochester, where he was a Rush Rhees Academic Fellow.
Dr. Bohlander holds International Board Certification in Neurofeedback and has been awarded the designation of “Associate Fellow” of the Biofeedback Certification International Alliance. He has 7 years of experience in providing neurofeedback and biofeedback services.
Dr. Bohlander has served as a Clinical Associate Professor at The Commonwealth Medical College and is currently Co-Director of the NeuroTraining and Research Center at Wilkes University, Wilkes-Barre, PA.
He holds the rank of Professor of Psychology at Wilkes University, where he has taught courses in Neuropsychology, Clinical Psychology, Psychopathology, Psychological Testing, Critical Thinking, Positive Psychology, Mindfulness, and Human Personality. As a researcher, Dr. Bohlander has 35 scientific research publications and scientific conference presentations.
Dr. Bohlander treats individuals for issues related to anxiety, depression, ADHD, adjustment problems, stress and coping, grief, OCD, and behavioral and psychological disorders.
Biofeedback and neurofeedback services in Dr. Bohlander’s office are applied to a variety of psychological and behavioral conditions that represent what are called brain-dysregulation syndromes (see The Neurofeedback Program brochure). Dr. Bohlander has successfully treated many children, adolescents, and adult patients suffering from ADD and ADHD, anxiety, sleep disorders, stress-related problems, migraines, and tic disorders, using these techniques.
Dr. Bohlander would be pleased to speak to educational (PTO, teacher in-service) or community (Rotary, Kiwanis, etc.) groups. Topics would include Positive Psychology, Mindfulness, Neurofeedback, Brain-Training, ADHD, Wilkes University’s NeuroTraining & Research Center, and others.
